Seated with Sinners

Meals are a special part of our day that we share with close friends and family. A meal is an intimate experience between people. In our gospel reading, Jesus is sharing a meal with people that the pharisees would not expect, tax collectors and sinners. Jesus responds by saying "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."
