Today Jesus asks, “Who do you say that I am?” With Peter we boldly confess, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Christ strengthens that confession through His powerful Word, which creates faith, roots us in Him, and equips us to confess Him in the world. That makes today especially fitting as we begin another year of Sunday School and Bible classes and celebrate a Faith Milestone Sunday, including the presentation of Bibles to our second graders and their parents. As children, parents, and adults, we continue growing together in God’s Word, for we follow Jesus better when we follow Him together.
