Unmasking Jesus

This Lord’s Day as we gather in the presence of the God who comes down to meet us with grace and life. In a world that often teaches us to focus on what we must do for God, today’s Gospel from John 3 invites us to see what God has already done for us in Christ, giving new birth, breathing His Spirit, and lifting up His Son for our salvation. Like Nicodemus, we come with questions, burdens, and even misunderstandings, yet here the Lord gently pulls back the mask and reveals His saving love poured out for the world and for each of us. As we enter this time of worship, may the Spirit reorient our hearts to receive the life, forgiveness, and hope that come not from our striving, but from God’s gracious work for us in Jesus.
