How it all started...
Immanuel Lutheran Church was organized in 1870. The needs of the congregation have been provided for in three different sanctuaries, the present one having been dedicated in 1963 to accommodate a growing church. A new addition providing much-needed classroom, office and fellowship space was dedicated in 1996. With the Lord's blessing and through the work of its members we have grown from a handful of faithful Christians to a body of over 3,500 members.
Immanuel is joined in partnership with over 6,000 congregations and nearly 2.6 million persons in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, an international church body. Together we support mission work in over 30 foreign countries as well as in the United States, train church workers through 6 universities and seminaries and publish resources for worship and education.
