Our Citizenship is in Heaven

Have you ever traveled somewhere that felt completely unfamiliar—the language, customs, and way of life all different from what you know? It can be exciting and eye-opening, yet there’s often a subtle reminder that you don’t fully belong. In Philippians 3:20, Paul reminds us, “Our citizenship is in heaven.” As Christians, we are temporary residents in this world, living with the certain hope of our eternal home, the New Jerusalem. But what does it mean to live as citizens of heaven while faithfully following Christ here and now? Today we explore how our heavenly identity shapes the way we walk, think, and serve—living in hope as we await the return of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
