Welcome Home

I’ve often wondered what life was like for the prodigal son after the celebration ended. Did he ever feel the urge to wander again? Jesus doesn’t tell us. Still, it stirs our imagination. Many of us know what it’s like to come home, to be forgiven—and still feel the urge to run away from home again. Lent invites us to face these things honestly. To confess our wandering hearts to God and rejoice that the Father still runs to meet and welcome us home every time we return.
