The Scandal of a Compassionate Messiah

John waited for a Messiah of fire, and instead he found a Messiah of compassion. Many still are scandalized over Jesus’ gentleness, His mercy, and His cross. One day Jesus promises to come again and on that day every enemy will be defeated, but today is not that day. Today Jesus continues to come in mercy calling all to repent, believe, and be called blessed.
